This session is from last year, but since we are gearing up for portrait season, I want to spend the next few blog posts featuring some of my Fall sessions to get you in the mood! Even if the temperatures outside haven’t given us any hint of Autumn coming around the corner, we can still go make ourselves something with pumpkin spice in it, light a candle and make or read blog posts ABOUT Fall, right?

I love, love, LOVE photographing families with lots of people in them (because it reminds me of my own family!) so I always love when I hear from this family, and I was thrilled when they suggested having their session at their new home. They had some land and some great haystacks, so there was lots of room for playing, and they even had a teepee constructed from branches in the woods. I love nothing more than to follow them around and have my camera ready, letting the magic happen organically while the kids just do their thing, have their fun and make my job super easy. Aside from an ant-bite fiasco and some ill-fitting shoes, magic happened, fun was had and my job was delightfully easy and wonderfully fulfilling. And now I can’t wait for this year’s Fall sessions!!
