{ Dallas Lifestyle Family Photography | Garland Indoor Family Photography }
This is a session I absolutely LOVED, y’all! Though most people know me as an outdoor family photographer (who also photographs seniors, weddings, headshots, children and events!), I’ve always adored shooting indoor lifestyle sessions whenever I get the chance, so when the opportunity came to photograph my dear family friends and their miracle baby, and world’s most adorable toddler son, I wasn’t going to pass up my chance. So I spent the morning at their home, with their sweet family of four, and the grandparents and two dogs named Luna (which I love since that’s my dog’s name too!), everyone just doing their thing in the comfort of their home while I happily snapped away. This is my favorite kind of photography, since the family doesn’t have to worry about the perfect pose or the perfect smiles or the perfect behavior, or if everything is arranged just so and the outfits and the backdrop impeccable. It just has to be comfortable and familiar, pinpointing the moment in time they want to commemorate, the moment they want to freeze In time. They can then look back at these pictures and give thanks, knowing all the tears, all the hopes, and all the many prayers that preceded those very moments.
This is the kind of session that makes me feel so glad to have the job that I have, to be able to give people these memories to cherish. I’m not the one making all the magic – I can’t take any credit for that – but I get to be there to capture a small slice of this joy that has been created and that gives ME joy.
