It’s been a while since the Texas bluebonnets have been around; since then we had more than a month of torrential rain that we thought would never ever stop, and then our usual inferno we affectionately call “Summer,” which is still ongoing, but it’s nice to look back and remember these pleasant days of Spring when Texas’ famous state flowers are in bloom, and I had the amazing opportunity to capture this identical pair of sweet girls with their mom on a glorious sunny evening and it couldn’t have been a better night.

Let me tell you, this session, y’all, was supposed to be a MINI SESSION. But if you were anything like me, and you took one look at these two cutie-pies, and surveyed the vast field sea of blue, which we had all to ourselves (not a normal thing in such a season), and drank in the luscious golden hour light, you’d dismiss the time limitations and choose to shoot with abandon as well. There was just no way I was going to be content with a mere twenty minutes when all these factors were in play. Sorry Charlie! And you shall see from the length of this blog post that maybe, just maybe, I spent a little bit more than twenty minutes with these darlings. I consider it well worth the extra effort, don’t you?
