Every year, I travel to Michigan to create photographs, and memories, for several longtime clients, who have given me the honor of documenting their families as they grow and change so much. After 9 years of returning to Michigan for these sessions, it’s rare to photograph a family with younger children anymore! So you can imagine my excitement when I was contacted by this lovely family, with a beautiful young toddler and another baby on the way. And when the day finally arrived for our session together, it couldn’t have been more wonderful. We had beautiful weather, lush and green surroundings, and a family in love with each other. They wanted a gallery of images that showed their love and connection, and didn’t depend on their toddler looking at the camera :D. I was happy to comply, and my job was easy. I just chased them around and captured the love that was so natural to them, and the fun they have with an active (and smart as a whip!!) toddler keeping them on their toes. I look forward to the day when they get to introduce their sweet second baby to the world, and hopefully, the opportunity to photograph the family of four when I return to Michigan next Summer!
