Lately I’ve been posting my Fall portrait photography sessions from last year, because first I didn’t blog for a long time, and second, it’s like 800 degrees here and it’s quite natural to start dreaming about Fall sessions when it feels like an oven outside. This family I’ve had the pleasure of photographing a few times over the years and they are such a delight! I love it when the children start out as little babies and I get to photograph them year after year and watch them grow up and transform before my eyes – it seems to happen so quickly! You blink and they’re graduating high school! (I know firsthand; this year my fourth (of five) will be going into his senior year and I could just weep already, but I digress…)

Lucky for them, they’ve gotten perfectly sunny, gorgeous weather every time they’ve had a session, and this time they brought Grandma along too and it was fun to meet her! You gotta love when the kid you have in front of your camera is just smiling it up the whole time and full of joy and energy. They claim he’s not always like that but he sure had me fooled because he was a photographer’s dream for me that light-filled evening. We started with snuggles under a trellis and ended with storybooks in a garden – couldn’t ask for better.
