Things are a bit slower in the Summer months in North Texas, when the temperatures soar towards 100 every.single.day. Not typically the optimum weather for families to get out there for a family photo session, right? But my friend had some of her family in town at the last minute and asked for a session, and while it was a steamy evening, it was beautiful! The sun was shining, despite the stormy forecast (we ignore that; the forecast literally says that every day) and we were by the water, which also drew lots of other families who weren’t scared of a little blazing heat. That’s Texas in Summer! And we went with it. And I’m so glad we did, because these two girls were just the sweetest and friendliest girls ever and total naturals in front of the camera, and while I said they MUST be professionals, the way they handled themselves in front of a camera, they swore this was the first time they’d ever had a photo shoot, so I guess that they must have had lots of phone and selfie time because they totally rocked this.
