I refuse to call this post a pure “goodbye” post, because even though my fellow traveling/shooting/adventuring friend Julie is moving from Texas to New Jersey, I plan for there to be plenty of future “hellos” when we do what we love – travel. Julie has been my favorite photography partner in crime since we met in late 2014, and together we have traveled and shot in over ten states, and our girls became fast friends in the process, growing up right before our very lenses. When I was compiling all the images I’m planning to put in this (very long) post, I was struck by just how TEENY they were back in 2014, and now they are, like, old and stuff. Mature, grown-up, blossoming…maybe those are better words? I want to keep watching them grow up together, even though they are separated by states. I am requesting my name to be added to the door of MY guest room in her new house. 😉
When I was planning to move from Michigan, I compiled a best-friends gallery of photos I took of Amelia and her buddy Ciara during our many, many photo meet-ups, and made a blog post. So it only seemed fitting to make such a post for a friend who is moving away, to showcase all the amazing times we, and the kids, have had together. And to toast to the times in the future when we meet up because it totally WILL happen.
I will warn you right now – we did a LOT of photo shoots together. So, as you can imagine, I have a LOT of pictures to share.
The VERY first time I met them:
And….so it began. And kept going and going and going. <3
