Right when I first met this couple, I KNEW it was a perfect match. New(ish) transplants from Washington State, they wanted a small and intimate ceremony with just their close friends and family, a wedding that focused on their love as a couple and the fun of the celebration. Sounds perfect to me!! My instincts that I was going to love this couple were solidified when we had their engagement session and the groom-t0-be was so delightfully goofy, even making a tarantula lurch at him. And, GAH they are so adorable together it isn’t even funny. My frequent sidekick (my 7yo daughter) came with us, and even though the both of us came home covered in chigger bites from head to toe, we agreed it was worth it for the fun we had. (I do have to say, my daughter called the tarantula a “medium spider” so I don’t want to know what her idea of a BIG spider is….)
The wedding lived up to everyone’s expectations. They had it at a quaint little farm in Collinsville, Texas – Bellavita Farms, with horses, a lake, an amazing little venue with some awesome lights and reflection, and just the most perfect touches all over. The bride put together absolutely GORGEOUS decorations and selected the most amazing cupcakes I’ve ever seen. Their wedding planner friend was a hoot and had both my second photographer and me wanting to smuggle him home with us for constant entertainment. Everyone was so FUN, and the spirit in the room was just thrilling, and so full of love and affection. The night ended with a little bonfire and s’mores, all in all just a perfect evening for an adorable couple.
