I had such a fun time being part of this amazing day.  This fine young man, K, was dating a gal from my area, though he lives out of the state.  He told her he was coming to visit, but secretly he came a day earlier to start preparing for a beautiful production.  Their closest friends and family had been practicing and getting ready for the big moment.

With everyone hiding behind the pavillion, K went to meet his girlfriend, who was thinking they would be headed to the airport soon to pick up a friend.  They sat down at the tables, when suddenly the music blasted from speakers, and her friends and family appeared and began a choreographed routine just for her.  She was obviously starting to see what was happening, and was overcome with emotion.  In a few moments, K walked from the table and joined the others to dance for her.  When the time was right, he went to bring her to the stage as well, and they danced together before he dropped to his knee and presented the ring.  Of course, she said yes, and the moments afterward were a flurry of hugs and tears and laughter and joy.  It couldn’t have gone better!  The newly engaged girl was amazed – she said that she was JUST remarking that her boyfriend was good at lots of things, but NOT surprises.  Haha, guess he was saving up for the surprise of her life!

My daughter came along with me and even she was moved to tears at such a sweet event.  Thank you for letting me be a part of your awesome day!
