If you spend more than a couple of minutes here on this blog, you’ll see clearly that I just LOVE photographing families.  I love the connection, the energy, the emotion, the dynamics. But what I love even more is when I get the chance to photograph my OWN family.  I got that chance when my sister, who has been living mostly overseas for the last 13 years, was back in my area for a few months, and she and her husband came over for a fabulous session with their five beautiful kids.  And I’m not just SAYING beautiful.  I mean – beautiful.

In fact, let me give you an example.  The session started off with a bang, literally.  As in, the 3-year-old banged her forehead  in the car, and her stitches came undone, and there was blood, and then there was a big band-aid that I dug out of my glove compartment.  But did that stop her from being beautiful?  You tell me.

And, they are all like that.  So incredibly gorgeous, it’s not really even fair. 🙂  And they also have oodles of personality.

What really makes them beautiful is the amazing amount of love and joy they share with one another.  There is such an amazing connection they all share.  It is truly an honor to witness it.  Don’t let the tears fool you…
