{ North Texas Family Photographer | Destination Family Photographer }

Since I’ve lived in Texas, my Summers have always flown by, and I’ve always traveled quite a bit, whether it has been to go to Michigan and Wisconsin (destinations I visit every year) or to some other destination around the country to attend a conference or teach a workshop. This Summer, however, I had the opportunity to go on an actual bona fide vacation.
During my first few years in Texas, I made a favorite photography buddy, with whom I spent MUCH time and many miles taking zillions of pictures, and since our girls were our models, they grew very close in the process. Sadly, they moved to New Jersey in 2017 (see my farewell post here). However, we all stayed in touch, the girls as close as ever, and we decided to go out to see them this year. We rented an Airbnb in Cape May, where I’d visited to host a workshop once before, and boy oh boy, it did NOT disappoint! We came at just the right time, dodging the bad weather that reportedly arrived right after we left, but what we got was glorious, and we enjoyed a perfect day in the sun and sand. While in town we also had a lovely evening walking the boardwalk in neighboring Wildwood and had a front row seat to the fireworks on the beach. So, while it was an actual vacation, not a job, and not a workshop, it sure didn’t mean I wasn’t going to take any pictures.
…..and if you happened to click on the link to the farewell post, can you just gasp a little with me at how much these girls have GROWN??? How in the world did that happen??????
