Several years ago, I was contacted for maternity portraits by a gal that lived in Illinois, a state I’ve never lived in. Because I really wanted to take the session, and I know I travel to Wisconsin every Summer anyway, we planned to meet for a session near Chicago when I was already in the area to see family. I’m really really glad I did that, because the shoot was MAGICAL!!! Since that time in 2014, I’ve photographed the family almost every year, now three daughters later! I absolutely love these people and consider it the most amazing privilege to get to watch the family grow, and the precious girls get older. This year I got to meet their sweet youngest daughter and I (and my own daughter who was with me) couldn’t help but gasp at all the cuteness and love.

We went to the exact same spot we’ve been to every year because why mess with a good thing? The place is so beautiful and the weather we had this year was just gorgeous. I hope to return to that spot for many future years with these wonderful people.
