A Utah Retreat

In early May, Rachel Nielsen Photography and I teamed up once again to hold our Lightfinders Retreat, a workshop all about light, light and more glorious light.  We also get to hold these at the most amazing spots, like our retreat last year on the Oregon Coast.  How lucky am I to get to work with such amazing attendees (and Rachel herself) in magnificent surroundings?  We had so much fun that we are doing it again in Pensacola, Florida, in September.  Why don’t you join us?  We have some amazing spots already picked out and we are itching to make some magic.

While you are waiting for your awesome September retreat, enjoy some pictures from beautiful southern Utah.  There really isn’t another place like it in this country.  It’s breathtaking.  I might or might not have freaked out like a crazy person hiking up a mountain (big fear of heights y’all) but the vista at the top made the treacherous (ok it really wasn’t) trip all worth it.

Saturday included an adorable young couple and a father-daughter pair who were positively delightful.

Sunday – spent the morning with this exuberant gal on the unique red beaches in full sun.

Sunday night (after hiking up that mountain…) – the most darling little family of three that ever there was.  Even when the little boy got tired at the end of the evening, he was still all smiles as soon as dad had him back in his backpack carrier!  I couldn’t figure out a way to smuggle him home unfortunately.
