This post is an oldie-but-goodie.  It was shot last year, but I just love it because, first of all, it’s a styled shoot with a boy, and many people tend to hit a wall in their brainstorming when it comes to styling concept shoots for their boys (it always seems girls are easier!).

My plan began with the book, a score from a local antique shop.  The ideas mounted, and my friend Hilary had the perfect little man for these photographs.  She had her grandfather’s antique planes and a great old trunk, and her boy had imagination and wonder.  He was so excited to scour the book to find planes within that resembled the ones he held in his hands.

A beautiful sunny day and an open field completed the concept.
