Shel Silverstein, my very favorite childhood book author.  As an artist, I was, and am, constantly inspired by the whimsical, happy-go-lucky, colorful, magical poetry.  So, years ago, I decided to start a series of Shel-inspired images.  Sadly, the project never got really far, but thanks to a wonderful and talented friend of mine, Laura, who started a Shel project of her own, we now have accountability to finish the project, and I am thrilled.

I took the above image one Summer day last year, and then just a few more images of my own whimsical, happy-go-lucky child. 🙂
