Something a little different

I’m taking a break from my series posting my personal family and child photography from 2014, to share with you a little jaunt I took to the Dallas Arboretum, to spend some time with a fun little lens, the Lensbaby Composer with the “Sweet 35” optic.  It’s an art lens, and the area of focus is intentionally extremely shallow, so it is fun to experiment with something a little outside of the norm once in a while.

I had the opportunity to join up with some other amazingly talented women for a little blog circle, sharing our Lensbaby images on the 20th of every month.  It’s a good reason to make sure I dust this little treasure off and see what it can do, a little more often!

Make sure to go visit Rachel Nielsen’s  breathtaking work next (and all the blogs in the circle following), you will NOT be sorry!
