I tell everyone this:  I LOVE shooting little boys.  Maybe because I’ve raised three of them myself, or maybe just because there is something magical about the way boys explore, imagine, play, hunt, wrestle, and dare BIG.  They are so rarely inhibited by fear, and with energy and excitement, they plunge into their activities with a special gusto.  Plus, they love their mamas fiercely  (My 12yo boy still hugs me every day and promises to do that even when he’s a teenager!).  I had the opportunity to photograph a mama and her two boys (plus boy dog) at a creek that was pretty much designed to thrill any little man with its possibilities.

And add some pretty awesome tattoos on mom, and a gorgeous night at a gorgeous creek, and you have yourself a fabulous night.  Stay tuned for more blog posts featuring little boys coming in the next days!
