Recently I had the opportunity to travel to beautiful Northern California for a few family photography sessions, and I was so excited about this.  I traveled to Southern California earlier this year, but the northern part was still unknown to me, and I was dying to see what this part of the country looked like.  As SOON as I arrived at the airport, a nasty cold started developing, and I ended up sick as a dog the entire trip, but I have to say – it was still totally worth every minute and I adored all the time I spent there, with 6 amazing families and sights that were as awesome as I hoped.

The first night I spent in Napa at a castle!  This was a Mommy and Me session for a sweet friend and fellow photographer, and while the clouds were thick, they were exciting and beautiful, as was the incredible scenery.  I couldn’t have been more giddy about the whole thing.  There is nothing I like more with family photography than getting to capture the sweet and tender moments and the unique connection family members have with one another, so no pesky cold was going to keep me from savoring our time together.
