Energy in Abundance

I knew I was going to have fun with this family the moment I stepped into their home and met these exuberant kids and friendly parents. I, for one, love a lot of energy and silliness in a session, and they didn’t disappoint. It was hard for these young boys to get through the obligatory family pictures in their suits, but luckily that didn’t last long. In no time, they were allowed to change into their tees and go to a park to swing, run around and kick up some sand. I ran around, quite happily, following this fun family and capturing their escapades. Isn’t it delightful when a photography session is not just about pictures, but about having a ton of fun and bonding as a family? I hope these images conjure up fond memories for these guys for a long time to come.

Dang, that light is delicious isn’t it? There are so many awesome ones, but the one of the brothers just lying still on the sand with their hands under their heads just says so much to me. Love it. I also like that they did a more formal outfit too. You don’t see that as much in family photos today.
